AUSTIN

After coming out of Mexico, in September of 2001, I took up residence in Austin, to catalogue the 76,000 images from my Mexican project that I had donated to the Benson Library at UT, a job that took, four years.

After coming out of Mexico, in September of 2001, I took up residence in Austin, to catalogue the 76,000 images from my Mexican project that I had donated to the Benson Library at UT, a job that took, four years.   Following my custom of always trying to live in a place with a photographable view, I was lucky to end up on the top, northeast corner of the Westgate Tower, affording me a fine view of the statehouse immediately across the street, where I had a bird’s eye view of the  beautiful capitol grounds that were literally my front yard for the next 9 years,  Austin’s other landmark,The University of Texas Tower was a few blocks north and good photography of both will be presented on this page along with other Austin mementoes.

These are about the "jailing" and "unjailing" of the statehouse
